Haunted Downtown Jacksonville 2013
Haunted Downtown Jacksonville is a community effort to raise funds for a local benefiting agency. This year Onslow Women's Center, Inc. was chosen as the benefiting agency, so please come out and support this wonderful cause by having some fun celebrating Halloween! Haunted Downtown Jacksonville will take place October 17-19 with a raindate of October 24-26.
Last year, Haunted Downtown Jacksonville brought in over $8,000 in ticket sales and donations that benefitted two local non-profit agencies. Each evening we doubled our attendance at the Haunted House.
Haunted Downtown Jacksonville is an all-volunteer organization. None of the actors, make-up artists, or staff are paid or compensated for their participation in the event. We truly just want to make the event successful each year, allowing us to give something back to our community.
The Haunted Trail, the main attraction, will run for three nights and will be located in Sturgeon Park.
Saturday evening we will host Family Night, which provides fun for the entire family. Family night features a movie in the park (bring your chairs), free children's games, a variety of contests for children and adults, storytellers, Halloween photo opportunities, and Trunk or Treating at Kerr Street Park in downtown Jacksonville.
