2017 Dancing Stars of Jacksonville

First off, we want to start off thanking everyone who participated and attended our Annual Dancing Stars of Jacksonville Gala for 2017! It was a huge success! Onslow Women's Center, Inc. is more than grateful for your generosity and support during October, Domestic Violence Awareness Month. With the help of our community, friends, and grantors, we are able to provide free and confidential services to women and children throughout Onslow County and surrounding areas. Events such as this are imperative to help us accomplish our goal of putting an end to domestic violence along with educating others about the cause, and why it's so important.

"A dancing fundraiser raised about $130,000 for the Onslow Women’s Center.

Jacksonville attorney Ann Maready and professional dancer Rudy Flores took top honors at Dancing Stars of Jacksonville Saturday night at the American Legion. The Dancing Star Award is given to the team with the most points given by judges.

But they weren’t the only winners. Brandon Mills, vice president of benefits at SIA Group, and Debra Baile Becerra received the People’s Choice Award, which goes to the team that raises the most money through votes. Mills and Becerra raised about $13,000.

According to the Onslow Women’s Center Website, just the votes for People’s Choice raised $59,770 for the center as of Saturday night."
